Journey Home will support unsheltered individuals by providing a safe residence; building support networks; and obtaining safe, adequate, and permanent housing.
Journey Home is a network hub of collaborative community partners who provide unsheltered individuals and those at risk of becoming unsheltered with the opportunity to access resources and support (for example: access to legal documents such as IDs and birth certificates, mental health resources, substance abuse prevention, job training, financial literacy) that will lead to sustained safe, adequate, and permanent housing and employment.
Journey Home is designed to provide a safe place for unsheltered persons to reside as they are connected to supportive services. Our clients have access to resources such as employment, mental health services and supplemental. Check us out here.
Our Journey Home organization, First Presbyterian Church and other social service organizations have partnered to provide food and social resources to all members of our community. Learn more here.
Journey Home takes donations of furniture, household goods, hygiene items, etc. and gives them out FREE to homeless, persons at risk of homelessness, those that are being rehoused, and any of our community members. Take a look here.
The Journey Home of Johnson County project has been funded in part by Johnson County United Way, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and other community agencies!
We greatly appreciate the help and support we have from our community partners!
