Johnson County Resource Center

The Johnson County Resource Center is a hub for healthcare, dental care, case management, housing resources and other social services. The JCRC has contributed services and time valued at about $98,802.60 to over 5412 community members!

At the JCRC, located at the First Presbyterian Church in Warrensburg, MO, Katy Trails Community Health and Compass Health provide mobile clinics. Some guests qualify for free healthcare and/or dental care! Churches and community organizations provide lunches, healthcare vouchers, volunteers, and more. Every Tuesday and Thursday the Church opens for breakfast, a hot lunch, and to let people "hang out" in a safe, welcoming environment with access to A/C and Wi-Fi. Street people are welcome. Both Katy Trails Community Health and Compass Health are bringing in their mobile units and professionals to provide for clients that are uninsured, under-insured, on Medicaid, etc. Other insurance is also accepted. Katy Trails professionals also provide a monthly Medicaid Navigator to help people gain insurance, a Community Health case worker, and transportation to eye appointments and hospital treatment.

Volunteers from a local high school help clean up after lunch.

Helping the JCRC

The Johnson County Resource Center needs volunteers to help provide free meals to unsheltered persons in our community.

We need volunteers to cook and serve meals, help clean up after lunch, and/or help transport our clients. At the First Presbyterian Church in Warrensburg, where we serve the meals, we have a kitchen as well as some cooking and cleaning supplies. From 1PM-2PM, we transport our clients from the JCRC to the Library or the Community Center.

If you are an individual volunteer, click here to see our Lunch Volunteer sign-up form for more details!

If you are a group or organization, click here to see our current menu and sign-up to help!

We greatly appreciate your help and look forward to seeing you!

Donate a Computer or a Printer

Another way you can help the JCRC, is by donating a computer and printer! Journey Home plans to set up a computer and printer for our community members to use to apply for jobs, communicate with employers and case workers online, apply for federal programs, acquire important documents, and more!

As of right now, we only have a keyboard and monitor, and ask for your help with the rest! If you are interested in donating a computer or printer, please contact us at journeyhomeofjoco@gmail.com!
